In the same way, gaming consoles have evolved so much in the past decade or so, taking real life experiences to a whole new level.

Just like every other piece of technology, only the fittest shall survive in this arena too! It’s about cutting-edge technologies, advanced graphics, and utterly seductive game plots. We’ve come too far and technology has gotten us there. So much so, that we have forgotten the times when Nintendo used to rule the world, when the highly coveted Sony PlayStation revolutionized the industry with the influx of compact discs, and when Sega was actually a buzzword among kids!

In a nutshell, the days of multiple cartridges or mind boggling 2D graphic serenity have been rendered obsolete, but that doesn’t mean they’re not fun anymore. We can’t go back to that time for obvious reason, but we can relive a major part of our nostalgic memories through gaming. This is where emulators enter the fray!

Essentially a piece of software, an emulator enables your PC to function like a virtual gaming console. It’s like having your own Bumblebee (‘Transformers’ fans would understand what I’m talking about). Instead of spending bundles of money on acquiring your favorite consoles, you can have them all in one gadget through the Wii emulator for PC windows 7.

As all gamers would know, Nintendo Wii is the in-thing in the virtual world. It is the arch nemesis of the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. It was released by the juggernaut Nintendo in the year 2006. It is a video gaming console designed to be played at home primarily. As per recent studies, Nintendo has sold 101.52 million Wii consoles worldwide. Still not impressed?

Using Wii emulator, you can have access to millions of Wii games without the hassle of a console. Now, Dolphin emulator for PC has experienced one of the largest numbers of Wii emulator downloads as of today. Known for its high-end graphics and life-like virtual experience, it is now known as one of the best Wii emulators for PC.

What a Wii emulator essentially does is, it converts PowerPC instructions into x86 instructions. This is one reason why emulation is a daunting task. In basic terms, every single game instruction needs to be translated and transformed into something which is executable on a personal computer’s end.

g.        Now, connect your Wiimotes so that you can unravel the fun in all its glory by playing with an actual controller. There might be other options as well [Like acquiring a wireless infrared sensor bar as a substitute for the actual controller], but since we’re all gaming lovers here, let’s not get into the boring nitty-gritty details!

Note – Before connecting your controller with the PC, re-check if the Bluetooth has been set up on your machine. This can happen with the help of a dongle or an internal chip. Since we’re talking about Windows here, right click on the Bluetooth icon in the system tray and complete the setup by clicking on ‘Add a Device’. Meanwhile, press and hold the 1 & 2 buttons on your Wiimote controller up until the LEDs begin to flash constantly.

There’s no need to download any additional drivers as your PC will have instantaneously detected your Wiimote. Select the ‘Nintendo RVL-CNT-01’ option and click on ‘Pair Without a Code’.

h.       Now pay attention to the Dolhpin screen and click on the button – ‘Wiimotes’. Now hit ‘Refresh’ and your controller will start buzzing signaling that it has been paired and found. Voila! You’re ready to roll! In case of multiple controllers, all you need to do is follow the above mentioned protocol.

Using this Wii emulator for PC, your gaming experience will definitely undergo an upgrade, as this will not only ‘emulate’ your console experience, but Dolphin will allow you to go one better when it comes to ease of use and seamless graphics [720p HD].
